First Approved Treatment for FM
Lyrica (pregabalin) has been approved by the FDA in America for the treatment of fibromyalgia.  On June 21st 2007 the FDA approved the first medication to specifically treat Fibromyalgia symptoms. Lyrica has been approved for use in adults only…..

FMA UK Volunteer Awards 2007
Nomination forms were sent to all groups and appeared in the magazine, so that the people that volunteer their services can be recognised for their unselfish support to those with fibromyalgia. Thank you to all those of you who sent in forms and gave us the difficult task of deciding between the hard working volunteers that make such a difference to so many people with fibromyalgia. The awards were announced and presented to those present at the Group Leaders' Meeting. Each person nominated received a certificate and there were winners for each region that had nominations and then an overall winner.... 

Group Leaders' Meeting, Portishead 19th May
The annual meeting for group leaders moves around the country to make it accessible to different groups of people and to ensure that the travelling is evened out. This year was the turn of the southwest and Betty Farron organised the venue in Portishead on the Bristol Estuary. The local group of North Somerset was well prepared and greeted people with pre-prepared personal name badges and refreshments. There were even flowers on the tables. Our thanks go to Betty and all the helpers who made sure the day went smoothly....
