Northern Ireland Conference

The Northern Ireland Confernece tookplace at the Europa Hotel in Belfast on Friday 25 and Saturday 26th August 2006 was very successful.

The Friday evening session was attended by medical professionals and although the numbers were disappointing, the standard of the presentations was very high.  Prof Robert Bennett MD and Muhammad Yunus MD from America and Gary McCleane and Garth Logan GP from NI covered latest research findings and treatment options available locally.

Saturday's sessions were aimed at people with Fibromyalgia and this time there was a full house.   The programme included options available for managing pain, strategies for exercising, the general management of Fibromyalgia, the professionals' attitude to Fibromyalgia and coping with completing  DLA paperwork.

The Northern Ireland team worked extremely hard to ensure this event was successful and their enthusiasm certainly was rewarded with a very informative and enjoyable conference.
