Make a Donation

FMA UK is a non-profit-making registered charity whose aim is to enhance awareness of Fibromyalgia. The charity is run by volunteers of hich the majority are also fibromyalgia sufferers who work extremely hard, despite their condition, in order to forward the cause of fibromyalgia. FMA UK was established in order to provide information and support to sufferers and their families. In addition, the charity provides medical information for professionals and operates a national helpline.

To help us continue our work to bring relief to all people with Fibromyalgia, we would appreciate help with fund raising, either in cash or in kind. You can be sure that all contributions are greatly appreciated, however small.

Any online donations or purchases made via this website in support of the charity will be processed securely online. Other methods of payment can also be used.

You can make a donation to FMA UK in many ways:

In memory and gifts in wills

Making a will can be one of the most important decisions you will ever make. A future gift to FMA UK in your will, big or small, means we will be able to help even more people in their daily struggle with fibromyalgia.

We have had people over the years accept donations in lieu of flowers at funerals. This is an extremely appreciative gesture and one which the charity is grateful for. Leaving a legacy to charity is becoming increasingly common and FMA UK can benefit from these. It is a sensitive topic and one which can often be hard to discuss. If either of these is something you may be interested in, please contact fundraising@fmauk.org and someone from the team will be happy to discuss it.

Your Gift to the Future

Since 1994, Fibromyalgia Action UK has existed to help those with chronic pain and the other symptoms of fibromyalgia, as they seek a diagnosis, treatment or support particularly as they are coming to terms with the effects of this condition.

Fibromyalgia can leave someone feeling alone, doubting what they are experiencing, fighting stigma from those around them, and desperately seeking information and support that is often lacking from traditional sources.

Our helplines and services offer support and advice across the UK to those affected by fibromyalgia. Our booklets and support groups provide hope to those left isolated by this lifelong condition.

In addition, we provide support and information to everyone affected by fibromyalgia - including family, friends, and employers, as well as health and other professionals.

Your gift, big or small, will help fund this essential work that supports so many and will allow us to plan our future services. Anything you leave in your will to FMA UK will be exempt from Inheritance Tax.

How to Leave a Gift in your Will to FMA UK

1. After making provision for your loved ones, decide on the size of gift you would like to leave to FMA UK. We kindly ask that you don't put any restrictions on how your gift is to be used, i.e. ‘unrestricted’, as this will allow us to use your donation where it is most needed.

2. Find a solicitor or professional will writer to draw up your will.

Organise your own fundraising event

People are coming up with their own fundraising events. During the pandemic, people have taken part in inventive challenges, from a virtual Hadrian’s Wall cross trainer to a sponsored head shave. We have also had people raise money through running, swimming and selling items. If you can think of something you would like to do, please let us know, and we can help you promote it and support you before, during and after.
