About Us 

Fibromyalgia Action UK is a small Nationalcharity dedicated to improvingthe lives of people with fibromyalgia, ouraim is to increase awareness or the condition throughout the UK and further afield. by increasing awareness of the condition throughout the UK and elsewhere. We work hard to improve the awareness of, and access to treatments for Fibromyalgia.We rely on the support of volunteers to help us spread awareness and engage with our community through our monthly newsletterand other channels.

Role Overview

We are seekinga passionate and detail-oriented Newsletter Editor to join our small team of volunteers. Within the role, you will be responsible for editing and refining our newsletter content to ensure it is engaging, clear, and aligned with our mission. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys writing, editing, and collaborating with others to make a positive impact.

The role is part time, remote, and at your own schedule. Meetings are via teams. We currently send out a newsletter once a month with occasional smaller news alerts. We would be interested in increasing this frequency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and proofread newsletter articles for clarity, grammar,contentand style.

  • Collaborate with other volunteers to gather content, including stories, updates, and events.

  • Ensure that the newsletter reflects our charity’s voice, brandand mission.

  • Format the newsletter for distribution, ensuring it is visually appealing and easy to read.

  • Assistin brainstorming and developing new contentideas for future newsletters.

  • Meet deadlines to ensure timelydistribution of the newsletter.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing literacyand editing skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Familiarity with newsletter formats. Have previously wrote a support group newsletter?Or community publication

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small team.

  • Basic knowledge of design tools e.g., Canvais a plus but not requiredessential.

  • Passion for our mission and a desire to contribute to the within ourcommunity.
