Would you like to volunteer on our helpline and help people with fibromyalgia? Do you have other skills that the charity could benefit from? As well as helping out people through our helpline or as a moderator on our social media we have a few other positions that we could do with some help with.
Just complete our form here and fill in as much info as you can. Our volunteer coordinator will be in touch to arrange a chat.
Current positions we are looking for specific skillsets for:
- Helpline Volunteer - answering calls on our national helpline, mainly from people with fibromyalgia but also from family, health professionals and others.
- Trustees - Do you have expereince of being a treasurer or board member in a charity or group. Or do you have a professional background and are looking to become a trustee then please get in touch.
- Web designer - We are looking for someone that has experience of Joomla (theme config specifically)
- Writer / Editor - Can you write about fibromyalgia or edit other peoples contributions. Can you interview others and bring their story to life?

If your Health Care Professional needs some education in fibromyalgia you can request that an FMA UK Health Professionals Pack is sent out to them. All we need is the name of the Health CareProfessional and the address of their practice. We will then send a pack to their surgery addressed from us to them.

You can find a Support Group near you by contacting the Regional Coordinator for your area. If there does not happen to be a support group near you then maybe you can join with some other members and set one up. Support groups provide a social benefit as well as the opportunity to share tips on coping with fibro. They come in all shapes and sizes and we are often told how they have helped people.
