Following on from the success of achieving the recent written declaration at the European Parliament, FMA UK has the pleasure in sharing with you a video from ENFA. This short film shows some of what was involved in achieving the declaration as well as a little background on ENFA.

Blackpool Group raise money
Well done to My Blackpool Group. Yesterday I was invited to Blackpool
Town Hall, I met the Mayor Councillor Mary Smith and the Mayoress Julia
Massey. Local MP Joan Humble came and presented the group with a cheque
for £150.00. It was an informal gathering in wonderful surroundings and
I really enjoyed meeting all the committee, members and visitors who
supported the Awareness Day.
We all know what hard work raising
both Awareness and money but this is an excellent team who made me feel very welcome. The sun shone and there were plenty of yellow and black
ribbons in Blackpool. These sorts of events make my job worthwhile.
On Sunday 14th September, Kathryn Smith and her sister in law Jess McManus will be running the Bristol half marathon in aid of FMA UK. North Somerset Group members will be in Bristol city centre displaying a banner for fibromylagia, and will be distributing leaflets.

Her husbands manager at Knowlesy Council Licensing section is about to run a 10K race on October 5th in aid of FMA UK. Ian Rushton has run marathons before and, after being contacted by Lisa, agreed to run the Liverpool 10K ASICS race.
Lisa has placed collection tins around the area with local businesses and plans to contact her local paper to drum up a bit of extra publicity and is doing her all to bring fibromyalgia to the fore.
FMA UK would like to wish Lisa and Ian luck and thank them for their valiant efforts.
