Hannah Youngson from 4Com shared the good news with us; "4Com a Bournemouth-based telecommunication provider, donated £450 to Fibromyalgia Action UK after winning a staff vote in their monthly Charity Choice competition.

In June, Fibromyalgia Action UK was nominated by an employee at 4Com who is affected by Fibromyalgia. The employee explained that she believes the chronic condition isn’t spoken about enough and wanted to spread awareness for the hidden illness. This employee understands how much a donation will help the charity to continue supporting those also affected by Fibromyalgia.

Most months, the charity winners receive £250 from the 4Com Foundation, but this month was slightly different as 4Com staff had the chance to win an additional £200 for Fibromyalgia Action UK. Throughout June, the telecoms company have been celebrating teamwork and collaboration, both in the workplace and in day-to-day life. They have undertaken different teamwork activities and challenges, including one at their recent monthly awards ceremony. This challenge consisted of employees being given parts of a tube which they had to use to travel a ball from one end to the other, with the ball getting bigger each time, making it more difficult. Each ball that successfully travelled through the tubes to the bucket at the end won an extra £50 for the charity.

We are delighted that the challenge was a success, bringing the total donation for Fibromyalgia Action UK to £450. A huge thank you to all 4Com and the 4Com Foundation for this incredible donation!"
