Dehaan Van-Evelingen and Cara Watson-Hunt are planning a couple of fundraising and awareness raising events for FMA UK, one of which is for International Awareness Day on 12th May. Cara's mum has fibromyalgia and because of this they are wanting to raise as much awareness as possible.
First - they are looking for fibro fighters to get involved in their awareness video for 12th May ....

Our aim is to Gather A Group Of Fibro Fighters, Get them to record them self singing/lip singing Born This way by Lady Gaga, sending it via email to our charity Email and then watch the video be realised in Awareness for fibro on the 12th May!

Secondly - they are raising awareness & funds ... and having lots of fun in the process by organising the Chihuahua World Record Attempt UK
Cara & Dehaan are raising money for 2 charities; The Last Chance Hotel (Local, Cornish Based Dog Rescue) & Fibromyalgia Action UK (FMA UK).
"On Sunday, 5th August 2018 at Chapel Farms Venue Function & Dog Paddock, Newquay, Cornwall, There is an official Chihuahua World Record Attempt, with the most Chihuahuas gathering, which has stalls for all ages to help show awareness, support and to raise money for the 2 chosen charities!

If your Health Care Professional needs some education in fibromyalgia you can request that an FMA UK Health Professionals Pack is sent out to them. All we need is the name of the Health CareProfessional and the address of their practice. We will then send a pack to their surgery addressed from us to them.

You can find a Support Group near you by contacting the Regional Coordinator for your area. If there does not happen to be a support group near you then maybe you can join with some other members and set one up. Support groups provide a social benefit as well as the opportunity to share tips on coping with fibro. They come in all shapes and sizes and we are often told how they have helped people.
